Typical KOA with very friendly owner/manager on duty. We only used it as an overnight while traveling I-70 but had no problems at all. Would definitely stay when traveling in the area. Price reflected KOA discount.
This has to be one of the most beautiful sites in the country. There are nice sized, reasonably level sites. Each has a covered concrete pad with a pantry, picnic table and lights. The restrooms have running water but no showers. Flush toilets available to help extend your storage. A dump site is available. There are some first come, first served sites that are available daily, the others must be reserved well in the future as there is a limited number of sites and the park is quite popular with people who appreciate natural beauty and silence. Although there are no conventional amenities offered, the beauty and serenity of the area makes it a park we'll gladly return to anytime, hopefully we can stay longer in the future.
Very nice park that we would definitely use again. There appeared to be several long-term residents but all sites were well kept and clean. Easy in and out with level sites and plenty of shade trees.
Very convenient location for downtown Salt Lake City. Sites were level and clean. Our only concern was that a large area of this park was given over to full-time residents, and the units in that area were in pretty poor repair, and we had some security concerns. Although we didn't have any difficulties. We would not stay here in the future.
Typical KOA, Bathrooms and showers were clean and quite usable. Sites were very level and easy to access. Good Wi-Fi reception and cable TV. Good access to the town and surrounding area. We'll be back in the area and will stay here.
We pulled in just before dark which was a good thing as the sites are a bit difficult to maneuver. We have a 24' and are towing a vehicle. I don't think a larger rig could use the park. The site we had could use some leveling, and the park itself could use a bit of updating. The bathroom/showers appeared to be clean but were quite worn and in need of revamp. The owner greeted us in the interesting restaurant on the premises and was a nice, down to earth guy. Nothing fancy but a safe place to park when traveling southeast Utah. We would stay there again if in the area.
I guess I'm just easy to please or have very good luck with KOA's. Although shown as being on Interstate 40 the park is actually located probably 3/4 miles north of the highway. No road noise, clean, well-maintained park. Staffed by work-kampers who seemed dedicated to being friendly and offering good service. The only possible suggestion would be to weed-out or treat with a herbicide to get rid of sand burrs. I hate stepping on them or removing from our dog's feet. A very nice park.
